Use A Better Golf Ball To Improve Your Handicap

There are many ideas about how to reduce your golf handicap. But the quickest and least expensive for some golfers is using the longest distance golf balls. But note that legal USGA golf balls have a maximum distance of 278 yards under controlled test conditions.

It is obvious that modern technology,  can already provide golf balls that may go much farther than the USGA distance limit. This explains why most of the best golf balls so easily go to 255 yards - the farthest Noodle +, traveled 259 yards. The shortest ball, Nike One Platinum, traveled 240 yards - sacrificing distance for control and precision.

Question should  you use the Noodle + or Platinum? If you're into course  management, you should probably use a ball such as a Platinum. My Reason For Starting This Blog

   The reason I have started this blog about golf is because I want somewhere to concentrate the information I acquire, this is so that I  can easily find the information later.  Also it might help others who are as inexperienced at the game of golf  as I am too Improve.

   I have been interested in golf for many years but have never had the time to get really involved in it until now. This blog will have links to other sites that I think have helped me and therefore could help you if you are also new to the game of golf.

   This blog is not only for the beginner but hopefully will have much information about the game of golf that will be helpful for the more experienced golf player.  One article that I came across put golf "addicts" into three groups. They are:

• Hackers - This group are not interested in improving  their game but more involved with the social scene around the game of golf. Don't take the game seriously at all. 

• Duffers -This group carry a double digit handicap and are trying to improve their game but are inconsistent. They enjoy the outdoor experience and take the game seriously. They have more skill than the hacker but less than the player.

• Players - This group carry a single figure handicap and can really play golf consistently well. They are still trying to improve their game and have mastered most of the shots.

I think that you can now see what group you belong to I must place myself in the Duffers group as I have not got the skill required to be a player.  I hope I can bring some useful snippets of information to you even if it's only to give you a laugh.
